Needles of Faith
In 1 Corinthians 12:28 Paul lists a number of spiritual gifts. One of those is helping. Some have been given the ability to create with yarn to help others. Brandywine’s Needles of Faith provides the opportunity to help others with that ability. Needles of Faith meets two times a month, providing a time of fellowship, a chance to gather together items made in the past month, and communication about future needs.
SUMMER SCHEDULE CHANGE:
Meeting 1st Monday of the month 6:00 pm at Brandywine Community Church.
When someone is ill, they are given a prayer blanket that is prayerfully made and delivered. Over one hundred hats were made for the homeless this past fall and 17 afghans were delivered to Hope House. When a baby is born, the parents are given a lovingly created baby afghan, hat and booties.
Needles of Faith is open to anyone who crochets, knits, or would like to learn. It is a wonderful time of fellowship, encouragement and plenty of hugs. Patterns and yarn are provided for the projects thanks to donations of yarn and money.
